Description

This project aims to assess long-term health-related quality of life and its associated factors among Palestinian adults who have undergone thyroidectomy for benign thyroid disease. An online analytical cross-sectional study will be conducted among adults who underwent thyroidectomy at least six months before participation. Data will be collected using a structured online questionnaire incorporating a validated thyroid-specific quality-of-life instrument, subject to appropriate authorization, alongside sociodemographic, surgical, and postoperative information. The study will investigate persistent symptoms, differences between total and partial thyroidectomy, thyroid hormone replacement, and factors associated with poorer quality of life. Findings will provide locally relevant evidence to support patient-centered postoperative care and identify potential areas for improving long-term follow-up.
