Mohammad Marabeh is an Associate Professor of Mathematics and the Head of the Applied Mathematics Department at Palestine Technical University-Kadoorie (PTUK), Tulkarem, Palestine. He previously served as the Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences at PTUK from 2022 to 2024. Dr. Marabeh holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Middle East Technical University (METU), Turkey, specializing in Functional Analysis, with a perfect GPA of 4.00. His research focuses on convergence in vector lattices, fuzzy Markov chains, fractional differential equations, and topological structures. Dr. Marabeh has extensive teaching experience at PTUK and Bethlehem University, where he has instructed a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses. Beyond teaching, Dr. Marabeh has played a significant role in academic administration, serving on multiple selection and organizing committees, including those for hiring part-time instructors and coordinating STEM-related events. He has supervised several master's theses and has been an external and internal examiner for various graduate research projects.

Description

Convergence is a fundamental concept in mathematical analysis, playing an essential role in functional analysis, operator theory, and various branches of pure and applied mathematics. In recent years, several notions of unbounded convergence have attracted considerable research attention due to their theoretical significance and their role in generalizing classical convergence concepts in ordered vector spaces. This project aims to investigate different types of unbounded convergence, particularly unbounded order convergence (uo-convergence), unbounded norm convergence (un-convergence), and unbounded absolute weak convergence (uaw-convergence), with emphasis on their fundamental properties and relationships. The study will primarily focus on vector lattices and Banach lattices, examining conditions under which different convergence notions coincide, imply one another, or exhibit distinct behaviors. Other related notions, including unbounded convergence in locally solid and lattice-normed vector lattices, may also be considered. Furthermore, the project will explore possible interactions between these convergence notions and the inner product structure of Hilbert lattices. Particular attention will be given to the relationships among unbounded convergence, norm convergence, weak convergence, orthogonality, and bounded linear operators. The study will examine how the additional mathematical structure of Hilbert lattices influences the behavior of different convergence notions. The project will combine theoretical study with guided mathematical investigation. The undergraduate student will progressively develop the necessary mathematical background through the study of metric spaces, normed spaces, Banach spaces, Hilbert spaces, bounded linear operators and functionals, and vector lattice theory. Under the supervisor's guidance, the student will review relevant mathematical literature, study selected theorems and their proofs, construct illustrative examples and counterexamples, and examine the relationships between different convergence concepts. In addition to the mathematical investigation, the project will provide practical training in LaTeX and scientific writing, enabling the student to prepare mathematical documents, organize proofs and examples, and communicate mathematical findings effectively. The project is expected to strengthen the student's analytical thinking, mathematical reasoning, independent learning, and research skills while providing valuable experience in mathematical research.
