Bio

I'm an Assistant Professor at Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie (PTUK), Palestine. My work focuses on data structures, algorithms, and C++ programming, with a growing interest in computer science education research. I supervise undergraduate projects that connect theoretical concepts to practical implementation, particularly in algorithm visualization and interactive learning tools. My goal is to improve how DSA is taught and learned in Palestinian universities through evidence-based, hands-on approaches.

Description

This project builds on a partially completed C++ prototype of an interactive Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) visualizer. The PalUROP cycle will extend the prototype with trees, graphs, hashing, and dynamic programming; instrument it for data collection (pre/post quizzes, operation counters, usability survey); and conduct a quasi-experimental study with 40-45 undergraduate DSA students to measure whether interactive visualization improves comprehension compared to traditional instruction.
