Geometric PDEs

I offer a project for a Master student. The project can start any time, and typically will last 75 hours. Three months and 6 hours par week. (5 yours of independent study and 1 hour of on line meeting with me). Depending on the interest of the student we can arrange a different skedule. Depending on the background of the student, it can cover theoretical or applied aspects of PDEs: Theoretical aspects: differential calculus in Banach spaces, PDEs arising as minima of functionals, role and properties of the fundamental solution of elliptic PDEs (Evans book). Applied aspects: models of the visual cortex, the role of geometric PDEs in models of visual perception (I can assign a paper)
