PERLE (Powerful Energy Recovery LINAC for Experiments) is an international collaboration led by IJCLab (France) in collaboration with An-Najah National University, CERN, Jefferson Lab (JLab), STFC-Daresbury, University of Liverpool, Cornell University, ESS-Bilbao and CNRS (IJCLab, LPSC, IP2I, IPHC, GANIL). It aims to build a multi-pass high power superconducting energy-recovery LINAC (ERL) that will serve as a testbed for high-current ERL technology and future accelerator applications such as LHeC. In its initial phase, PERLE will commission the injector and the merger sections that bring the low-energy electron beam (7 MeV) into the main LINAC (linear accelerator). To ensure proper beam transport and dispersion closure in this area, a dedicated set of normal-conducting quadrupole magnets is inserted. These magnets play a key role in focusing the beam before injection into the main LINAC.
